Flight operations at Srinagar International Airport, along with 31 other airports across northern and western India, are set to resume today following a temporary suspension due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
A senior official confirmed that the necessary clearance has been granted to restart civil aviation services. “We have received the green signal to resume operations and are hopeful that flights will be operational from today,” the official stated.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had temporarily suspended civilian flight operations at these airports last week as a precautionary measure amid the escalating military standoff between the two nations. With security protocols reviewed and enhanced, the AAI has now authorized the resumption of normal flight schedules.
